Graphic Designer and Content Creator

We are looking for a top-performing graphic designer and content creator for our in-house marketing department. In this role, we need someone who Is obsessed with perfection in their design, no matter the size of the task. It requires a creative thinker who will play a vital role in the Marketing teams’ overall success, so working well with others is essential. This person must have the have an attitude and work ethic that aligns with that of the business. Paying acute attention to briefs, ensuring all assets are on-brand and look the part is of paramount importance. A good sense of humor is preferable too.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualizing, designing and rolling out final design assets for digital, print and OOH marketing campaigns.
  • Branding CI design maintenance and enhancements.
  • UI/UX design and development of marketing landing pages.
  • Determining size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size
  • Reviewing final layouts with management and suggesting improvements if required
  • Liaising with external publishers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is produced to the highest quality.
  • Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Website maintenance
  • Work with marketing manager to source high quality content for print and online publications.
  • Effectively manage multiple social media platforms
  • Writing clear, enticing copy for advertising campaigns (social media, brochures, press releases, websites, print, radio, etc.).
  • Create and maintain several content calendars, for all social networks.
  • Post relevant content in accordance with the content calendar.
  • Review and respond to user-generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner.
  • Develop and execute competitions.
  • Assist with conceptualisation and presentation of social media strategy and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with social media reporting.
  • Partake and contribute in brainstorming sessions.
  • Assist the web and design teams with other day-to-day tasks.
  • Proofreading of work.

Attributes Required

  • Copywriting/communications degree from a reputable institution and/or marketing/graphic design qualification
  • No less than 2 years’ experience in a creative agency.
  • Exceptional grammar and spelling.
  • Proficient in social reporting tools and analytics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Mac OS
  • Ability to keep calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good listener, not afraid to ask questions if unsure.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressured environment.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Familiarity and acute understanding of different demographic markets in South Africa.
  • Experience with Financial Services Products and/or Political organisations would be advantageous.

Marketing Manager

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for defining and implementing Marketing, Partnership and Commercial plans.
  • Define and implement Department and Division level Marketing plans and programs (across all marketing channels) that drive engagement, support, growth and product acquisition objectives.
  • Build relationships internally with the departmental teams to identify product-based marketing opportunities that the marketing team will need to execute on. Develop in-depth knowledge of your department in order to craft meaningful product-based marketing strategies
  • Manage and grow a team comprising of a Graphic Designer/Content Creator and Digital Marketing Specialist.

  • Optimise and manage the department marketing priority executions, process and reporting.
  • Own and manage Partnership, Budgets, Coupon and Loyalty marketing spend and targets. Be responsible for achieving and tracking all Marketing, Partnership and commercial KPI's.
  • Manage your department’s input into the marketing calendar, driving alignment across the marketing team to ensure that all functions address and deliver on the priority requests.
  • Build relationships with suppliers, sellers and partners to identify strong co-branding opportunities, and craft value exchange / co-op marketing agreements with these partners. In addition, you will be required to drive commercial opportunities with suppliers through the crafting of proposals, timeous execution of campaigns and post campaign reporting.
  • Identify and create relevant campaigns across South Africa that align with the MHA brand, and helping to source cost effective opportunities to ensure it is fulfilled as a viable opportunity.
